Dryer Maintenance Recommendations
There are easy dryer maintenance (not repair) procedures you can perform yourself at home:
- - Avoid overloading the dryer and ensure balanced loads for efficient drying and reduced wear and tear.
- Check for blockages in the exhaust hose or vent that may hinder proper airflow and cause overheating.
- Routinely inspect the dryer's exhaust ducts and heating element for lint or debris accumulation.
- Use mild detergents or fabric softeners when washing clothes to prevent residue buildup in the dryer drum.
- Periodically check and verify the temperature settings using a reliable thermometer to ensure effective drying.
NEVER try to repair your dryer yourself. Our techs have been trained for years to be qualified to handle dryers. Follow the user’s manual and recommendations, but when a problem happens the best idea is to call Appliance Repair Connect service.
